Landscapes
To spend time in one’s surrounding, to observe the natural world, is to give one a sense of belonging, a sense of wholeness. For us to understand and govern our activities to support preservation of our world, is to move toward being more evolved, becoming more whole.
Where Elements Meet
The magnificent “ Grotto” in Bruce Peninsula National Park is a visitors delight. Formation began approximately 400 million years ago, when the area was covered by a shallow tropical sea. The sea began to dry, magnesium in the water absorbed into the limestone, forming the harder dolomite caprock we see today.
The storms of Lake Huron and waters of Georgian Bay continue to sculpt this stunning formation.
For obvious reasons, more people visit these sites every year. With increased usage, comes increased responsibility to preserve and maintain delicate ecosystems.
"The Clearest Way"
“The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness” ~ John Muir
Certainly John Muir spent a lot of time in the wilderness. His observations and musings have much to teach us and are as relevant today, as the day they were written.
